Come and experience the joys of llama trekking and the tranquility of Central France at the same time!
La Petite Barre is a 25 acre farmstead in Bessais Le Fromental, which is in the Cher region of Central France.
Unexplored but often driven through, you will be surrounded by the beautiful rolling countryside and the occasional idyllic village, you will be in the perfect place for a break with the emphasis on fresh air, peace and quiet.
During your stay with us in Central France, you will have major rivers of the Loire, Allier and the Cher; countless canals and lakes to explore. A Roman Amphitheatre, vineyards of Sancerre, Chateaumeillant, Quincy, Mentou, Castles and Abbeys a-plenty, we even have Europe's largest Oak forest (Tronçais), famous for providing the oak for many wine barrels, for ships and was important to the French Resistance in WWII.
You can choose anything from a short walk to full-day excursions, including a picnic and local wine. Whilst you take in the scenery, your llama will happily carry your bags and with their excellent eyesight and hearing, with a twitch of the ears and a gentle hum will alert you to wildlife you might otherwise have missed.
